The 78th Central New York Scottish Games & Celtic Festival

We will NOT be serving this evening due to a prior engagement.

Come to the Syracuse, NY area and join us in the wee morning hours Saturday, August 10 and allow us to bring Scotland to you. The aroma of Scottish and American Food, the skirl of pipes, the cadence of the drums, the awe of massed bands, the beauty and form of the dancers, the strength and skill of the athletes and the feeling of clanship all contribute to hours of nostalgia and pure enjoyment!

Schedule is 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday the 10th. The day is full of activities.. the earlier you get there the better the parking place you'll get.. but if you can't spend all day.. about 11:00 to ... would still be enough time.  And don’t forget the music afterwards.

Kiltfest 2018
to Oct 14

Kiltfest 2018

Kilt Fest NJ is a gathering of Scottish and Irish, Celts and Gaels to celebrate our culture. Kilts are encouraged and pants are optional. Events at Kilt Fest include the Highland Games, a Kilt Run, a Fictional Medieval Battle, Bagpipers, a concert featuring  great Irish and Scottish bands, a Beer Garden featuring locally made Celtic Craft Brews from local breweries, Kilt Contests, and great craic in a beautiful setting at Liberty Lake, Bordentown, NJ.

Kilt Fest NJ starts out with the Kilt Run in the morning. The run is 2 miles and open to all ages. The only prerequisite is that all runners must wear a Kilt!

The Highland Games begin in the morning as well. Watch world-class athletes toss the caber, hurl the hammer and throw heavy stones for distance and height in this ancient Scottish sport. The athletes will demonstrate and guide any person who wishes to try their hands at the different Highland events including the caber toss. At noon, a kilted battle will take place between two armies who will use real weapons and armor. There will also be a one on one tournament at the end with prizes for the top combatants.

There will also be vendors selling Irish and Scottish Food and merchandise.

This is a one of a kind event, open to all who are interested in the history and culture of the 7 Gaelic Nations. Don't Miss it!
