Kiltfest 2018

Kilt Fest NJ is a gathering of Scottish and Irish, Celts and Gaels to celebrate our culture. Kilts are encouraged and pants are optional. Events at Kilt Fest include the Highland Games, a Kilt Run, a Fictional Medieval Battle, Bagpipers, a concert featuring  great Irish and Scottish bands, a Beer Garden featuring locally made Celtic Craft Brews from local breweries, Kilt Contests, and great craic in a beautiful setting at Liberty Lake, Bordentown, NJ.

Kilt Fest NJ starts out with the Kilt Run in the morning. The run is 2 miles and open to all ages. The only prerequisite is that all runners must wear a Kilt!

The Highland Games begin in the morning as well. Watch world-class athletes toss the caber, hurl the hammer and throw heavy stones for distance and height in this ancient Scottish sport. The athletes will demonstrate and guide any person who wishes to try their hands at the different Highland events including the caber toss. At noon, a kilted battle will take place between two armies who will use real weapons and armor. There will also be a one on one tournament at the end with prizes for the top combatants.

There will also be vendors selling Irish and Scottish Food and merchandise.

This is a one of a kind event, open to all who are interested in the history and culture of the 7 Gaelic Nations. Don't Miss it!

Central Jersey Irish Festival

 Please come down and enjoy our musical lineup of Blackwater and Ballyhaunis. Blackwater has been with us since our inception. The Central Jersey Irish Festival is presented annually by two Hibernian divisions, Freehold division 16 and Jackson division 11. Both charitable Organizations, and is held at Lake Topanemus Pond Park. This annual celebration of Irish culture features local, regional and international Irish music, Irish Dancers, traditional cuisine and a wide variety of quality vendors of Irish goods.

Join us as we celebrate our Irish culture with great music, food, beer, and do some shopping with our fantastic vendors!  We have many Cultural and Historical displays and performances and a large dedicated kids play area with bouncy castles, activities, and games.

The modest admission fee to the festival goes to support the many charitable causes of our own Monmouth and Ocean Irish community, whose members volunteer their time every year to put on this great event.  It’s a family affair, so come out, have fun and be part of this great charitable endeavor.     Our organization is dedicated to uniting Irish Catholic men in Friendship, Unity, and Catholic Charity.

    Division #16, Monmouth County- St. Oliver Plunkett, was chartered in September 2002. Division 16 consists of members from St. Thomas More, Our Lady of Mercy, St. Rose of Lima, St. Robert Bellermine, St. Gabriel, and several other parishes in the area.

     In our short time as a division we have donated to several local charities including Freehold Area Open Door, St. Vincent dePaul society, Birthright, Monmouth County Child Advocacy, and many state and national charities.

     We also support Project Children and non-sectarian program that gives an opportunity to Children of Northern Ireland to spend 4 weeks with sponsor families in the United States. For more information on our division, please visit our facebook page:

   The Oceans 11 division in Jackson was named after Michael Davitt.

     Mr. Davitt helped form the Land League in county Mayo, Ireland. Our division was formed in May of 2015 but not without many experianced Hibernian members. We formed this new division with the hopes of introducing to the northern Ocean county area with a mixture of Irish culture and religious faith.

     Our first thought was to partner with the well established Freehold division to bring an Irish cultural event to the spring time.

For more information on our division, please visit our FBpage or our website;
